Come along to a demonstration of the James Hardiman Library's scanning equipment which will take place in the Library Digitization Centre on the top floor of the Library at 12:00 on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th February.

The Library Digitization Service is available to staff and postgraduate students wishing to digitize material to support research, teaching or publication.

The Library Digitization Centre houses three high spec scanners:

1) A Kirtas 1200 book scanner which can scan a bound volume at a rate of over 600 pages per hour, using a an automatic page turning mechanism.

2) A Bookeye 3 A1 scanner which can scan large format material such as newspapers and maps. This scanner is also suitable for scanning loose material, for example archival collections.
