Reading Rooms - Closure + Alternative Study Facilities Notice

Please note that due to a planned Reading Rooms Refurbishment Project that the Library Reading Rooms at basement level are closing to the public from Friday 29th July and will remain closed until late September 2011. Alternative study areas are available at the following locations: Study facilities will be available throughout this entire period in the James Hardiman Library , during normal opening hours . In addition from Friday 29th July to Sunday 4th September additional space has been allocated in Theatre UC102 in Aras Ui Chathail , this service will operate on a 7 Day basis from 08.30-23.00 . However it will terminate at the start of term as the space will be required for lectures.

Archives Unbound - Trial Now Available

A trial is now available for Archives Unbound. Archives Unbound presents topically-focused digital collections of historical documents that support the research and study needs of scholars and students at the college and university level. Collections in Archives Unbound cover a broad range of topics from the Middle Ages forward-from Witchcraft to World War II to twentieth-century political history. Collections are chosen for Archives Unbound based on requests from scholars, archivists, and students. This trial is available until 01 August.
